Figure and Ground Relationship

After carefully reading all of the required text for this week, the last reading helped me understand the relationship between figure and shape. The figure is what is notice and the ground is not. So the ground is like the background, and the figure is what you design. Even though it may seem like the ground is not important, it is. They both work with each other. If you only focus on the figure then the design wont be complete. These concepts and terms are important because you have to understand them to be able to work in the design field. If you don't know the terms or even worst don't know how to use them, then another career path may be a wise choice. I will use these terms by paying attention to the whole design, since I mostly focus on the figure. I now know to focus on the ground as well. The figure/ground relationship that my design has is it is using most of the ground. The viewer is able to focus on the figure, while the ground is showcased as well
